Formerly known as Bebop Dance & Stage Academy which was founded by Clair Talbot in 1997, now known as B Collective Performing Arts. B Collective was created and now run and directed by Principal Lauren Hartley since 2019. As a family run business with 20+ years experience, we work continuously to deliver excellent Performing Arts classes for children aged 15 months to 16 years, as well as adult classes. We work across two schools in the Clacton-On-Sea and Frinton-On-Sea area. Known for our success within the Arts and proud to be a fully inclusive Performing Arts school, we open our doors to every child, enabling them the chance to explore the Arts in an enjoyable, supportive and a highly regarded environment. Our passion to offer accessible, professional but affordable classes will continue to be evident in our work, welcome to B Collective Performing Arts.
B Collective Performing Arts offer a variety of classes across both schools. We specialise in Modern Dance styles, Contemporary Dance, Creative Dance, Technique and Flexibility, Gymnastics for dance, Tots Ballet, Movement and Music for tots and of course our fantastic Musical Theatre and Singing classes.
We offer a diverse approach to Dance and Theatre education, moving away from typically offering only the classical, exam syllabus work, but more centred on celebrating the creativity of our students and introducing a creative fusion of all styles. Alongside all of our technique, creative and specifically styled classes, we include the importance of Healthy Bodies in Dance and Artistic Anatomy for our older students as we believe these are the fundamentals of delivering any safe dance class whether it be for a creative session or a ballet class.
We work towards a variety show every 18 months, in which all students from 2 years old have the opportunity to perform at a local theatre, we also take part in many charitable events, local fetes and displays, carnivals, competitions and variety shows in London, Essex and surrounding areas, and so much more!
All of our classes are taught by experienced teachers, all who obtain a fully enhanced DBS check, are First Aid trained and hold Child Safeguarding certificates.
Whether classes with us are purely just for fun or to begin a journey towards a career in the Performing Arts, we strive to provide the very best opportunities for our students. Our goal is to consistently support each student and their progression during their time with us, we continuously assess our students and their development to ensure they are in the correct classes for their ability and that they feel completely at ease and comfortable within our learning environment. Here at BCollective PA we promote the importance of individuality and equality. We feel extremely passionate about accessible learning centres for children from all backgrounds. Our classes are open to every child no matter their dance or theatre background, also encouraging the inclusion of children with any additional needs.
Ensuring a safe, friendly and welcoming school for our students and their families is paramount, as well as the standard of teaching we deliver. Our school is a place for learning, growing, building and supporting!
